AIR PHILIPPINES Flight 541 "Flight of Fate, Wings of Hope"

April 19, 2000 will always be remembered in my heart, if not in the whole country.... It was certainly the day when all our family members where in great shock when one of our relatives went to our house crying and said, " there was a plane crashed at Sitio Kamalangan, barangay San Isidro in Babak, Samal Island and my Aunt, Uncle and the rest of my cousins where their.." oh come on-- how would I believed if I havn't seen yet the proof? when usually they give us a call before they'll planning to visit. My mom whose taking a bathed that time immediately rushed to confirmed such terrible news!

Then, she went into the crashed site with my cousin while me and the rest of my family members where trying to get an info as to how true it was and even our neighbors stand by their house to help. An hours later, their name was posted in tv...yes it's positive...I can feel how my heart breaks into pieces when my aunt was there! together with my uncle who is a captain in the ship; Ben Amor a teacher at Don Bosco College; Arlene Grace a fresh Doctor graduate and my ate Biday! Ixara Mae who just gradutae on secondary level....

Eight years! past and this memory will forever lived in my heart....I never had the chance to go at the site but my mom and dad went their to witness at the creashed site. My dad whose currently working abroad by that time scheduled a flight to Philippines without any hesitation...he was also a seaman and he did not finished his contract for the sake of the family...he cried because there was a conflict between him and my aunt before he leaved in my aunt's house... who ever expect this terrible accident will happen and would be a great surprised to my dad when he came home?. I have had three (3) cousins excluding my uncle and aunt who where their in that plane crashed eight years ago! and ONLY one was left in the family!!!! It is much safer not to mention his name because each of the member died on that particular day will be payed not just a Philippine money but a U.S. Dollar... not to mention the value it was really really big amount....

Eight years of grieving, 131 lives were killed! and Finally!!! the justice was on the hands of the family members who were left by their loved once...
